Dr. Alex Tu attended the University of Southern California, where he earned his B.S. in Biological Sciences in 1989. Dr. Tu graduated among the top of his class and received his doctorate degree in 1993 from USC, School of Dentistry. He was elected into the OKU Honorary Dental Society and received numerous awards including The J. Walter Reeves Memorial Award and The Hugh M. Kopel, D.D.S., M.S. Award.
Dr. Tu loves working with children. He went back to USC to pursue his post-doctorate training in Pediatric Dentistry and received his certificate in 2006. He is involved in the Children's Dental Health Clinic, a non-profit organization serving children and young adult in the Greater Long Beach and South Bay areas who are economically disadvantaged or have issues in access to care. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry at Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC since 2008.
Dr. Tu has practiced dentistry for over 30 years. He uses his extensive experience to provide dental care in a gentle and compassionate manner. He understands that everyone is unique and has different needs. He listens to his patients and works with them to achieve and maintain healthy smiles together.
Dr. Tu resides in Irvine with his wife, Wendy. They have two daughters: Kristina and Claire. He enjoys spending his personal time doing yoga, traveling, and playing board games with Kristina and Claire.
